What Do You Need To Serve Drinks At An Event?
Three things, and people usually only plan the first.
Something to serve from. Coffee dispensers, iced tea dispensers, insulated Cambros — vessels that hold a drink at temperature and let guests help themselves without a bartender.
Somewhere cold. Ice chests, stock tanks and troughs. In Houston this is not optional: a case of drinks left out in July is warm within the hour.
Something to drink from. That is glassware — a separate order and one people forget until the day.
Self-service beverage stations take pressure off a bar. Coffee and tea in particular should never be a bartender’s job.
Which Coffee And Tea Dispensers Should You Choose?
Size it by sitting count, not guest count — not everyone drinks coffee at once.
The 55-cup stainless dispenser covers a small meeting, a breakfast or a modest reception. The 101-cup is for a real crowd — a conference break, a large ceremony, anywhere a queue would otherwise form.
The stainless steel iced tea dispenser is the Houston default. Iced tea gets drunk at outdoor events here in volumes that surprise people from anywhere else.
Cambro insulated hot/cold dispensers are the flexible option: they hold temperature either direction, which makes them useful for coffee in the morning and something cold by afternoon.
How Do You Keep Drinks Cold In Houston?
With more ice and more volume than you think, and something to put it in.
The 150-quart Igloo ice chest is the workhorse — back of house, behind a bar, wherever stock needs to stay cold and out of sight.
The 100-gallon stock tank and the 4′ galvanized trough do the opposite job: they are the display. Filled with ice and bottles, they are self-service and they look the part — a trough of longnecks at a barbecue reads as hospitality in a way a cooler never does.

When Should You Rent A Margarita Machine?
When you want a frozen drink and you do not want a bartender making them one at a time.
The margarita / frozen beverage machine is a volume tool. It produces consistent frozen drinks continuously, which is the only practical way to serve them to a crowd. Made individually, a frozen drink is the slowest thing at any bar.
It works for margaritas, daiquiris and frozen non-alcoholic drinks — a frozen lemonade at a kids’ event or a summer festival does the same job.
Two things to plan: power, and where it stands. It draws, so it needs a circuit — see generators and power if the site has no mains. And wherever it goes, that is where a queue forms.
What Else Does A Beverage Station Need?
A dispenser on the floor is not a station.
It needs a surface — a table or bar — at a height people can pour from, and a linen if guests see it. It needs glassware beside it. It needs a bin for what gets thrown away, which is where housekeeping comes in.
And it needs to be somewhere sensible. A beverage station next to the entrance creates a jam; one deeper in the room draws people through it.

How Does Delivery And Setup Work?
Beverage equipment arrives with the rest of your order and is placed where you want the station.
