For small setups, all we need are the area’s dimensions and a sense of the terrain. A tape measure works fine, but so does Google Earth, where you can measure your yard from your couch. For bigger builds, we’ll come out and measure in person. The Space Rule of Thumb
Here’s the planning number that answers half of all backyard questions: one table seating ten people, with its ten chairs, fits in roughly 100 square feet, a 10′ x 10′ footprint. Multiply by your table count and you have your dining area; add space for the drink station, the buffet, a kid zone, or a dance area, and you have your tent size. Fifty guests at five tables? That’s about 500 square feet of dining, so a 20′ x 30′ tent gives everyone room to breathe. It’s the fastest sanity check in party planning, and we’ll refine it together on the call.
Check Your Access (Before Delivery Day)
Be mindful of how equipment gets into the yard: gate widths, side-yard paths, overhead branches and wires, steps, and anything that narrows the route, even air-conditioning units squeezing a walkway. None of these are deal-breakers; they just shape what equipment we bring and how we bring it, so flag them before booking rather than on the morning of the party. Power & Lighting: the Comfort Layer
Two upgrades turn a backyard gathering into a backyard event.
