What to specify when you call
Emergency calls are easier to fill quickly when the caller can answer five questions. You will not always have the answers, and that is fine — we can work from estimates — but the more of this you have, the faster we can commit to a delivery window.
- Footprint and headroom — roughly how much covered area, and does anything need to drive or lift inside it? Forklift clearance changes the structure choice entirely.
- Surface — concrete, asphalt, gravel, compacted base or turf. This determines the anchoring method and therefore the install time.
- Duration — days, weeks or months. Anything past about three weeks should be priced as a lease rather than a rental.
- Services needed — climate control, flooring, lighting, power distribution, sidewalls, roll-up doors.
- Site access — gate widths, overhead obstructions, whether a crew can get a truck adjacent to the install point, and any badging or safety induction requirements.
Permits, wind load and documentation
Temporary structures above certain sizes generally require a permit, and industrial sites almost always require engineering documentation regardless of what the municipality asks for. This is the part that delays projects, so it is worth raising early rather than at install.
We provide engineered drawings and wind-load ratings for our clearspan structures, along with anchoring specifications appropriate to the surface.
